The Best All-Inclusive I've visited: Secrets Moxche

I may be the pickiest person in the world when it comes to all-inclusive resorts, but Secrets Moxche takes the cake for the best resort I've ever been to. When we visited, it was during a tropical depression so unfortunately it was overcast the entire trip (and rained a lot) but that didn't affect how incredible the resort, staff and food were! Check out my honest review below:

Food: 8/10

The food was good. I was really impressed with the options at the breakfast and lunch buffet and the service at the French restaurant. The resort does not take reservations for their restaurants and on the first night, we decided to eat later but ended up waiting for well over an hour. I love that they have buzzers so you can go sit at the "Dark Horse" which is the 2 - story bar.

Drinks: 7/10

The drinks were good! My drink of choice on this trip was the blueberry margarita. I met a couple on the trip who were "drinking their way through the rainbow" and each bar had a menu posted so you could try out the different times.

Spa: 10/10

We used the hydrotherapy circuit and were impressed with the vibe at the spa. The large wooden beams and the immaculate grounds and service at the spa was wonderful. After my circuit, my guide sprayed down my body with rosewater and put cucumbers on my eyes so I could relax. I've never had a spa experience like that before. ever.

Easy to access: 8/10

This resort is about a 45-minute drive from Cancun airport.

Service: 8/10

The service was great! All employees we encountered were more than happy to help.

Beach: 2/10

When we booked this resort, we knew it wouldn't be because of the beach. I'm glad I didn't have high expectations because, although I can imagine it would be better, most of the sand was washed away due to a tropical storm sitting over the Yucatan peninsula so many rocks and roots were exposed and the water was pretty murky.

Pools: 10/10

These pools were absolutely out of this world. They had every type of pool you could ask for. From private, natural and semi-private cenotes to the infinity pool overlooking the ocean to the rooftop infinity pool in the preferred club to the Jacuzzi's built into the pools with the hammocks to the HUGE lagoon style pool, this resort is it. Hands down, this is the place to go if you're a pool person.

Entertainment: 9/10

There was no shortage of nightly activities. We experienced live music at the lagoon pool. Since we were there during a tropical storm, the resort did a GREAT job at trying to keep us entertained. They have nightly shows--one night it was a candlelight concert and an acrobatic musical the next. After the nightly shows, most of those attending head to the pharmacy to enter the night club--complete with lasers and a full-service bar and dancing floor!

Grounds: 8/10

The grounds were in good condition They worked so hard to continuously clean up the rainwater and were always working on the landscaping.

Rooms: 10/10

The rooms were "dark and natural". Possibly the most beautiful rooms I've ever seen. The shower was HUGE and there were wood accents everywhere. Upon check-in, we upgraded to the preferred club swim up room and I HIGHLY recommend this room type. Purchasing the preferred club allowed us access to a rooftop restaurant which also has the rooftop infinity pool. The "swim-up" room was more like a private pool and it was worth the upgrade!

This resort was one I will remember forever and I hope and pray we'll have the opportunity to come back when it's a little sunnier.
